Dads Against Crime

Dads Against Crime

Andre Harris – Founder & President, Dads Against Crime

Andre Harris is the founder and president of Dads Against Crime, a Kansas City, MO-based nonprofit dedicated to helping men rebuild their lives through accountability, mentorship, employment, mental wellness support, and felony expungement. Since founding the organization in 2020, Harris has led a growing movement focused on breaking cycles of violence, strengthening families, and creating safer communities by investing in the lives of often overlooked men. Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Harris knows firsthand how poor choices, trauma, and a lack of opportunity can shape a person's life. Rather than allowing his past to define him, he chose to transform it into a mission of service. Today, he uses his own story as proof that lasting change is possible when accountability, hope, and opportunity come together. Under his leadership, Dads Against Crime has helped hundreds of men access life-changing services, including workforce development, mentorship, mental wellness support, and felony expungement. The organization has built partnerships with employers, mental health professionals, community organizations, and public agencies to remove barriers that keep men from becoming stable fathers, productive employees, and positive leaders in their communities. Harris is also an author, speaker, and community advocate whose work has been featured by local and national media. His message centers on personal responsibility, redemption, and the belief that no one should be permanently defined by their worst decision. Whether speaking to churches, schools, businesses, or community organizations, he challenges audiences to believe in second chances while encouraging men to take ownership of their futures. Driven by his faith in Yahweh, Harris believes true transformation begins with the heart. His life's mission is not simply to reduce crime, but to help people experience lasting change, restore families, and ultimately point others toward the hope found in Yeshua the Messiah.
